Very Cavallari star and celebrity hairstylist Justin Anderson has revealed that he has reconnected with the son he placed up for adoption years ago.
In a new interview on the podcast Scissoring Isn’t a Thing, Justin explained how he ended up placing a son up for adoption at the young age of 18, according to a write up from PEOPLE.
“So we found this beautiful couple. It was an open adoption. We had our son Tyler. I was in the hospital room. I’m 18 by the way. We hand our baby over to the family. And I drive back to college by myself and life goes on,” he told hosts Liz Culley and Daryn Carp.
Justin Anderson appeared on all three seasons of E!’s Very Cavallari before it wrapped its run earlier this year.
The reality star went on to reveal that he found his son on Instagram and that the two have since exchanged messages. “Three years ago I am sitting on the couch and I get a direct message from my son literally saying hey,” he continued. “I go, ‘This kid’s cute. Why is this kid writing for me?’ I write back, ‘Hey what’s up?’ and he says, ‘Do you know who this is?’ Boom. So then the whole thing happened.”
He continued, “My family, his family, we all meet up for dinner. He has the most beautiful, sweetest, kindest family. They raised him so well.” The two have stayed in touch over the phone and are open to exploring their relationship in the future, Anderson explained.
It is pretty shocking and surprising to hear Justin make this revelation, but we couldn’t be happier for him.
Very Cavallari wrapped its final season on E! earlier this year.
