“There’s A Lot Of Stuff Going On”: Heidi Montag And Spencer Pratt Tease A Drama-Filled Second Season Of ‘The Hills’
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt dished on what is turning out to be a drama-filled second season of The Hills New Beginnings in a new interview.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Heidi and Spencer revealed that the MTV hit had originally suspended production due to the coronavirus pandemic but that the cast has since resumed filming at home without a full crew.
“Before the quarantine, The Hills became the best show ever,” Spencer told the outlet about the upcoming second season. “Like, it got so good. I was like, oh, my gosh. So, it’s kinda frustrating. … Once when we all get out of this, everyone will be so turnt up to go out that everyone’s emotions will keep going, but, it was really good before we got locked up.”

Added Heidi, “And it’s only the beginning.”
Heidi and Spencer have a vested interest in talking up the show, however, and it’s not like they haven’t exaggerated the drama in the past.
Mischa Barton Fired
After a lackluster first season, The Hills will have to amp up the drama if it wants to have any sort of impact in the reality TV world.
As previously reported, Evolution Media, the production company behind the show, and MTV decided to part ways with star Mischa Barton, who was their big name get for the first season of The Hills.

But after failing to bring any sort of conflict, it’s clear the show is hoping to move in a new direction and if Spencer’s comments are any indication, that looks to be true.
Spencer claims that new relationships amongst the cast are one reason why the next season will be oh so juicy and that there are two in particular that he “never saw coming.”
“There’s a lot of people too on the rebound from former relationships that might be looking for new relationships, but I think there’s a lot of drama going on in people’s marriages — in lives too — that will be interesting to play out, so there’s a lot of stuff going on,” added Heidi.
The Hills New Beginnings will return later this year.
