‘The Real Housewives Of Miami’ Season 4 Is A Go At Peacock TV

After months of rumours, NBC has confirmed RHOM Season 4 is really happening.

The Real Housewives of Miami Season 4 is officially a go at Peacock TV, NBCUniversal confirmed earlier today (February 17).

According to The Wrap, NBC made the announcement at the Television Critics Association press tour just this morning, revealing that the popular Bravo series is being rebooted at the company’s streaming service. The outlet reports that original production company Purveyors of Pop is on board to produce the series.

Andy Cohen talks RHOM reboot

As previously reported on TVDeets.com, Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen first ignited rumours about a potential RHOM reboot when he openly discussed pitching the show to Peacock on a podcast appearance back in November 2020.

“I have really been trying to get Peacock to pick up Miami,” he told Danny Pellegrino of the Everything Iconic podcast. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this. I don’t know where we are with that. I have to say the fans of Miamiare still very vocal, and so I’ve been an advocate for Peacock bringing back Miami.”

Bravo

NBCUniversal has ordered RHOM Season 4 for its new streaming service Peacock TV.

According to the former Bravo boss, Elsa Patton, mother to Housewife Marysol Patton, was such a big part of RHOM that when she didn’t participate in Season 3 due to declining health, the show just wasn’t the same.

“I think Miami as it was on Bravo really suffered from Mama Elsa not being around in season 3,” he told Pellegrino. “She was very sick. I think she was a more important part of that show than people realized. The problem with the third season was that the ratings were declining as it went on and they went down for the reunion, which is usually the opposite of what happens. I think that went into the decision to not pick it up.”

New Housewives

Just last month, news leaked that RHOM Season 4 was in the works with singer Paulina Rubio and singer Phil Collins’ ex-wife Orianne Cevey just some of the names being floated as potential Housewives.

Lea Black, Adriana de Moura, Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton, Larsa Pippen, Cristy Rice, Joanna Krupa, Ana Quincoces, and Karent Sierra starred on the series throughout its initial four seasons.

Where to watch RHOM Season 4

The Real Housewives of Miami first aired on Bravo from 2011-2013 but with today’s announcement, it has been revealed it will make its return later this year.

While RHOM Season 4 will initially premiere on streaming service Peacock TV, NBC has not confirmed whether the series will be available internationally or if it will air on home network Bravo at a later date.

Other international editions of the franchise have landed on streaming, however, with The Real Housewives of Jersey dropping all 10 episodes of its first season on the ITVHub and later airing weekly on ITVBe, and The Real Housewives of Durban dropping weekly on Showmax Online for viewers in South Africa, so it is possible that NBCUniversal may follow one of those release schedules for RHOM Season 4.
