Tamra Judge Has A Warning For Future ‘Real Housewives’ After Jen Shah’s Arrest

"If you're doing illegal stuff and you go on a reality show, you're a special type of idiot."

Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge has a warning for future Real Housewives after the shocking arrest of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah just last week.

In an appearance on RealiTea With Derek Z, Tamra opened up for the first time about the RHOSLC star’s arrest and revealed that she is confused as to why Jen would have even joined the show in the first place.

“First of all, I don’t know a lot about the case, just what I’ve read on Instagram just like everybody else,” she told host Derek Zagami. “I have to say if you’re doing something illegal — and I like to say that she’s innocent until she’s proven guilty, for one — and if you’re doing illegal stuff, you’re an idiot, and if you’re doing illegal stuff and you go on a reality show, you’re a special type of idiot. Why go on reality TV if you’re doing criminal acts? You’re just asking for it.”

She continued, “So my advice to any future Housewife if you’re doing something that’s illegal, don’t sign up for the Real Housewives.”

Federal indictment

As fans are well aware, Jen was arrested and charged last week with the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of New York alleging that Jen, 47, and her assistant, Stuart Smith, 43, were running a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme and have defrauded multiple victims, many over the age of 55.

According to CNN, they have been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering and the seriousness of the charges mean the reality star could end up in prison for years. ⁣

Over the weekend, the RHOSLC star made her first virtual court appearance after appearing in a Salt Lake City courtroom earlier in the week, and quite a few interesting details about the troubled reality star were revealed.

According to Utah-based reporter John Franchi, Jen’s attorney stated to the judge overseeing her case that the reality star does not own any properties, meaning the house part is kind of missing in the Real Housewives.

Both Jen and Stuart plead not guilty to the charges and were released on a recognizance bond of $1 million USD. Jen was told to refrain from drug use and excessive alcohol consumption and is not permitted to open any bank accounts.

Yikes.

Tamra is spot on with her comments about Jen but with all of the scandals that have hit the Bravo universe in recent months, we aren’t all that surprised to hear that one of them is facing major jail time.

Filming on Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City with Jen Shah is currently underway and Tamra Judge is reportedly being considered for a Real Housewives of Orange County Season 16 return.
