Sutton Stracke Responds To Teddi Mellencamp’s Allegation That She Researched The ‘RHOBH’ Cast Before Joining: “It Was Rather A Little Bit Offensive”
Sutton Stracke may be only a Friend Of on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but in a recent interview promoting the season, it’s clear why she has become such a polarizing part of the show.
On a recent episode of RHOBH, Sutton was shown getting into it with Teddi Mellencamp after she told her she thought she was going to be boring before meeting her. Despite since forming a friendship (at least according to Sutton), Teddi then used this tidbit while promoting the season to allege that she thinks Sutton researched the cast before she joined.
“I heard that and, Teddi, I love you, but I have three children,” Sutton responded in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t have time to do that. And I’m opening a store. No. That is the furthest from the truth. And actually it was rather a little bit offensive to me. I’m just telling you the truth.”

As RHOBH fans are aware, a main criticism of Teddi on social media has been that she is boring.
“I didn’t know that this was a ‘thing’ about Teddi,” denying that she knew the word “boring” may trigger her.
“No, I didn’t research [the cast before joining the show],” she continued. “I am only just now beginning to understand this whole Twitter game. Like, I just don’t know. I lived in a bubble for 17 years. Come on!”
Sutton has been a great addition to RHOBH: She brings the drama, the glamour, and has a full life around her, which is much more than you could say for Teddi.
While Teddi is correct that many fans refer to her as “boring”, it is immature to assume that just because Sutton believes the same thing that she must have taken the idea from somewhere else.
