‘Southern Charm’ Now Down Four Full-Time Cast Members Heading Into Season 7 As Eliza Limehouse Confirms Departure

The next season of the Bravo hit is going to look a bit different to fans.

Eliza Limehouse is the next to announce her departure from Bravo’s Southern Charm.

“It’s been a thrill to be part of Southern Charm, but with a wedding to plan on top of my busy work life, it’s best for me to focus on what’s next,” Eliza told PEOPLE exclusively.

“I walk away from my reality TV ride with positive feelings, and no regrets,” she continued. “I’m grateful for the experience, for the friendships I made along the way, and for loyal fans who have been so supportive and kind. I can’t wait to marry the love of my life Struthers, spend more time with my horses and start this exciting new chapter.”

Eliza Limehouse (third from left) has announced that she is leaving Southern Charm ahead of Season 7.

Southern Charm is now down four full-time cast members with Eliza’s departure, as Cameran Eubanks had previously confirmed her exit and Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner also revealed they were leaving.

That leaves Shep Rose, Craig Conover, Kathryn Dennis, and Austen Kroll as the only remaining full-time cast members returning for Season 7. As fans of the franchise know, leading man Thomas Ravenel was fired by Bravo ahead of Season 5 due to allegations of sexual inappropriateness.

Season 7 of the Bravo hit has been chalk full of controversy over the last few months. Even before the coronavirus pandemic started, production was having difficulty getting the show off the ground as they searched for new cast members to join.

Cameran announces her exit

Then, after months of no news surrounding Season 7, Cameran announced that she was leaving the show and rumours immediately surfaced that it was due to the network’s plan to accuse her husband of cheating on the new season. Cameran, for her part, denied that there was any scandal behind her departure.

“I was going to make a kind statement about why I decided to leave the show tomorrow however it has come to my attention that insidious rumours are now spreading and fake articles being written…some of which pertain to my marriage,” she shared in a post on Instagram.

“While upsetting, it sadly doesn’t surprise me as this is what reality television has come to nowadays and a large reason why I kept my marriage off the air. You must protect what is sacred to you. Some things aren’t worth a big paycheck,” she continued.

Cameran Eubanks previously announced she was leaving Southern Charm ahead of Season 7.

“What upsets me the most is that my husband, who is the most sincere and faithful human I know is being falsely dragged into this,” she said, referencing the numerous tweets and stories about her husband’s alleged infidelity.

“It disgusts me. He always supported me filming the show even though he wanted no part of the spotlight. I can’t get too upset though because this is what you sign up for when you put your life on reality TV… and why I’m getting out of it now.”

“Drama is needed to stay relevant on reality television and sadly false rumours about others are sometimes created,” she dished. “Make of that what you will and consider the source. My decision was made and given to Bravo months ago and had absolutely nothing to do with ridiculous and fake rumours about my marriage.”

She continued, “Please disregard any fabricated rumour. It’s a ploy for ratings and that’s it. Now I absolutely know I was smart to leave the party early. My gut has never failed me. To all of the genuine and kind fans, cast and crew that I have worked with over the years and had the pleasure of knowing…thank you.”

Kathryn takes heat

Then, after Cameran’s departure, Kathryn got herself into a bit of a scandal when it was leaked that she was apparently bullying a local activist over social media amid the Black Lives Matter protests. Taking to her Instagram Story, Kathryn was forced to deny being a racist while apparently not seeing what exactly was wrong with her interaction with the other party.

“I use that emoji all the time because it looks silly and awkward and that’s my baseline,” she wrote, referencing the monkey emoji she sent to a black radio host just a few weeks ago which then surfaced on social media.

“The account was anonymous,” she continued. “I didn’t even know who I was messaging???? And now I’ve been labeled all this crazy stuff and it’s just not true. And it’s not fair,” she said.

Despite the controversy, Kathryn is expected to return for the new season along with Shep, Craig, and Austen.

Southern Charm Season 7 is expected to return later this year.
