RuPaul Announces Netflix Has Canceled ‘AJ And The Queen’

RuPaul took to Twitter earlier today to announce that Netflix has canceled AJ and The Queen after just one season.

“End of the road,” he posted. “@Netflix has decided to not extend our road trip across America. Thank you for all the love & support.”

AJ and The Queen debuted on the streaming service in January but never seemed to gain the sort of traction needed to command executives to order another season of the show.

In addition, the show seemed to focus too much on the younger actor instead of on Ru himself.

It hasn’t been the best day for America’s Favorite Drag Queen. Just yesterday, news broke that a contestant on the current season of Drag Race had been accused of inappropriate behavior by 5 men.
