Reality TV Ratings: ‘Summer House’ Season Premiere Bombs, ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’, ‘Catfish’, And More — Wednesday, February 5, 2020
Following Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, things got back to normal in the reality TV world on Wednesday, although most networks saw a drop in their numbers.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey dipped to 1,291,000 overall viewers and a 0.46 in the demo, down from a 0.50 the week before.
TLC saw a boost in the ratings, with 1000-Lb Sisters and My 600-Lb Life each scoring over 1 million overall viewers and a 0.32 and 0.31 in the demo, respectively. They both saw an increase over last week.
MTV’s Catfish continued to struggle this season, dropping to 395,000 overall viewers and a 0.22 in the demo, down from a 0.30 the week prior. The show also lost about 100,000 overall live viewers.
The big story, however, is that Bravo’s Summer House absolutely bombed with its season 4 premiere, placing at number 35 for the night with 605,000 overall viewers and a 0.22 in the demo. The network had tried to switch things up this season by firing some of last season’s cast members, but it doesn’t seem to have done the trick.
