‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Hits Season High Ratings, ‘Dallas’ Reunion Barely Registers

The Real Housewives of New Jersey hit a season high in the ratings thanks to the drama between Danielle Staub and Margaret Josephs.

RHONJ was the top-rated cable show on January 8, scoring 1.297 million overall viewers and a 0.5 score in the highly coveted adults 18-49 demo, according to TV By The Numbers.

Unfortunately for The Real Housewives of Dallas reunion, things weren’t as positive. The final episode of RHOD season 4 only brought in 778,000 viewers and a dismal 0.3 in the adults 18-49 demo, almost half of what RHONJ brought in.

The ratings for RHOD are so low, in fact, that the show was the fourth-least watched cable program of the night, only beating show’s like TLC’s My 600-Lb Life. Ouch.

Despite proving her worth in the ratings, Danielle made a bold move by announcing that she was quitting The Real Housewives of New Jersey on a January 8 episode of Watch What Happens Live. The show will have to change course in storyline for the next season considering she has been a main part of the drama since returning a few years ago.

Dallas is another story. While Bravo is currently considering renewing the show for season 5, another racist scandal was the last thing they needed and last night’s ratings won’t exactly sway things.
