The Real Housewives of Miami is currently filming its highly-anticipated Season 4 for streaming service Peacock and while Lisa Hochstein may be happy to be a part of the new cast, she might be having second thoughts as a new malpractice lawsuit against her husband Dr. Leonard Hochstein has become public.
According to Page Six, Lenny—as he’s known to RHOM viewers—was hit with the lawsuit in June, with a former patient claiming that her 2020 thigh lift and arm lift left her with “large open wounds” and a “significant limitation” of the “range of motion” in her arms.
Among other allegations, the former patient says she is suffering from “constant exquisite pain” and “infection” and that she had to have additional surgeries by another doctor in order to fix what she is calling a “botched job.” According to the gossip outlet’s report, the former patient is seeking $30,000 and the outlet points out that Hochstein is facing a similar claim from 2019 with that patient seeking at least $15,000.
Lenny released a statement to Page Six denying the allegations while noting that he can’t specifically talk about the allegations. “I have been a surgeon for 31 years,” he told the outlet. “Up until this time I have never been sued for malpractice. In this litigious environment that is quite an accomplishment. I can also tell you my lawyer firmly believes we will prevail in these two cases as well.”
In addition to the two lawsuits, Hochstein is currently dealing with a slew of negative online reviews, according to the outlet, which he too says are unfounded.
The lawsuit news doesn’t come at the best time as Lisa is currently filming Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Miami, which has landed a reboot of sorts on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock. While things like this would have definitely been buried under the rug in years past, we can expect some of Lisa’s co-stars to want to bring these allegations in front of the camera, Real Housewives-style.
The Real Housewives of Miami will premiere on Peacock later this year.
