Apology accepted? Ramona Singer posted a public apology to her co-star Leah McSweeney after making fun of her bipolar diagnosis on this week’s Real Housewives of New York City.
“It was never my intention to shame Leah about her mental health issues,” tweeted Ramona. “I understand its her story to tell. Takes a lot of courage & strength for her to go public in an article about her struggles, which I admire. I only wish her well & want to help support her in the right way.”
Leah gives it to Ramona
On Thursday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, the ladies traveled to Mexico and Leah told Dorinda Medley and the rest of the Housewives that Ramona had been making fun of her bipolar diagnosis behind-the-scenes.
Ramona’s supposed disregard for Leah’s mental state caused a backlash on social media, with many fans siding with the latter.
The drama with Ramona caused Leah to open up about her bipolar II diagnosis during a confessional interview and it was made clear that this was not an easy journey for her so it’s understandable that she would be upset by Ramona being Ramona.
Upcoming reunion
The women are expected to gather any day now for the Season 12 reunion and as predicted, Ramona Singer will most likely be at the centre of the drama when the ladies sit down to discuss the season.
According to a recent report from Page Six, the women will tape the in-person reunion on Wednesday, August 5 on Long Island and host Andy Cohen will be in attendance, as usual. Even departed Housewife Tinsley Mortimer is reportedly making the trip and will make an appearance at the reunion after quitting the show midseason.
