Just a few weeks ago on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks seemed to make up and put their issues aside to work on their friendship. But, on Sunday’s all-new episode, Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, continued to slam Phaedra over the fact that she has yet to pay Todd for the workout video the two were producing together and Phaedra is now setting the record straight, requesting Todd produce the finished video if he wants to be paid.
Phaedra has dedicated her entire blog to the issues between herself and Kandi and Todd and it’s safe to say that their relationship is now worse off following Sunday’s RHOA episode.
“The issue of me owing money to Todd Tucker for production of a prenatal workout video has gotten completely misrepresented and needlessly become the source of harsh feelings,” begins Phaedra. “Let me set the record straight for those who lack the necessary rudiments. First of all, this business matter is between TTucker Productions and Nida Fitness. Nida Fitness is co-owned by me and my husband. Nida Fitness hired TTucker Productions to produce a prenatal fitness video. Post-production on the video was never completed and therefore the final payment was not made. The project has been in limbo.”
Phaedra clearly wasn’t a fan of Kandi’s conversation with Porsha Williams on Sunday’s RHOA and says, “It is disconcerting to see that Todd opted to discuss the matter with everyone, except the business owners of Nida Fitness; thereby turning this business matter into a personal attack and assault on my character.” Being the well-known lawyer that she is, Phaedra is not OK with Kandi and Todd slamming her. “After I became aware that this matter was circulating the rumor mill, as a professional businesswoman, I invited Todd to come to my office to discuss. In good faith, I wrote him a check for half of the outstanding balance. Presently, I am still waiting on the final cut,” she writes, adding that “Upon receipt of a commercially acceptable, finished product, I will cut the final check. Everybody knows that the final payment follows the final deliverable.”
While we don’t think Phaedra is an honest person (we’ve seen too many seasons of RHOA to be fooled), we don’t think it’s appropriate for Todd to be making such noise about the issue, especially considering he isn’t an official Housewife. Kandi hasn’t learned her lesson about working with friends (see: Kim Zolciak and Demetria McKinney) but maybe this latest situation with Phaedra is enough for her to smarten up. At this point, we’re really not sure who owes whom money — and if we really care.
Are you Team Kandi or Team Phaedra?
