Paramount+ is set to remove all episodes of its original series The Real World: Homecoming, according to a new report, becoming the latest streamer to get rid of an original title.
The Real World spinoff aired three seasons including New York, Los Angeles, and New Orleans and all episodes will be removed from Paramount+, reports Deadline.
Other titles like The Twilight Zone reboot, Interrogation, No Activity, and Guilty Party are also set to be removed but it looks like The Real World was the only unscripted series affected.
As the outlet points out, Paramount+ is not the only streaming service in the process of removing original titles. HBO Max recently dropped unscripted series like The Sweet Life Los Angeles and FBoy Island after announcing an end to all unscripted development just months ago, and this has become a bit of a trend in the industry as a way to create savings for the streamers.
Despite removing all episodes of the series, it should be pointed out that Paramount+ has not officially cancelled the series according Deadline’s report.
The Real World: Homecoming, which saw former casts of The Real World reunited and living together after years, was produced by Bunim/Murray Productions and MTV Entertainment.
