New layoffs are set to hit Bravo parent company NBCUniversal and the changes will impact the TV division, according to a new report.
Sources tell Variety that amid an ongoing restructuring at NBCUniversal, which oversees reality TV networks like Bravo and E!, additional layoffs are being implemented across the “television and streaming division’s entertainment networks business.”
According to the report, the cuts will impact less than 5% of employees in the division which is helmed by Frances Berwick. She would be most well-known to reality TV viewers as Andy Cohen’s boss back when he was an executive at Bravo. (Currently, Andy is the host of Watch What Happens Live and an executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise but he is not actually a Bravo employee.)

More cuts are reportedly planned for 2021 and will hit the content side of the division, which is led by Susan Rovner, who just joined the company last month, Variety points out.
In addition to the layoffs, NBCUniversal has made quite a few leadership changes as of late, and they have even split the unscripted division into two separate areas, with one overseeing network and the other streaming. These latest layoffs hit amid a particularly tough time with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
