Nene Leakes Denies Being Fired From ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’, Still In Discussions To Return For Season 13

Despite denying leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta in a new statement today, Nene Leakes has been hinting about departing the Bravo series for months.

Nene Leakes is denying that she has been fired from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta and in a new statement via her manager confirms that she is still in discussions for a potential return for Season 13.

“It is absolutely not true that Nene has been fired from RHOA,” her manager, Steven Grossman, told PEOPLE exclusively. “Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be.”

“[We] having on-going bigger picture conversations with NBC Universal and have not made any decisions regarding next season specifically,” he continued. “Any speculation or sources trying to create controversy by stating otherwise are incredibly inaccurate. Bloop.”

Bravo also confirmed via a statement that the veteran Housewife has not been let go from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. “There is no truth to this story – NeNe was not fired and conversations for the next season are still ongoing,” a spokesperson for the network told the outlet.

Rumours surfaced just yesterday, June 17, that Nene had been let go from RHOA after Love B Scott reported so as fact. While Nene is clearly denying that has happened, it should be noted that she hasn’t actually signed on the dotted line and seeing as some of the other Housewives have posted publicly about their returns, the OG leaving Atlanta is still a possibility.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta will return to Bravo next year.
