Luann de Lesseps And Ramona Singer Are Reportedly Scrambling To Stay On ‘RHONY’

After Dorinda Medley was reportedly fired, the two are desperate to save their apples, according to a new report.

After Dorinda Medley was reportedly fired, Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer are desperate to save their apples, according to a new report.

Just yesterday (August 25), news broke that Dorinda Medley was leaving RHONY after six seasons but the rumour mill is already in full effect, with sources since revealing that not only was Dorinda fired, but Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer are on the chopping block, too.

Insiders tell OK! Magazine exclusively that both Luann and Ramona are worried about losing their jobs after Dorinda’s exit.

“The show has gotten too old and stale,” the insider revealed. “What was once fun is now a bunch of rich old white ladies complaining about their lives that most people would kill for. Overall ratings for the series has been steady but numbers in the younger advertiser demo are not good and only getting worse. Ramona is the oldest at 63 [years old] and is fighting for her life on the show.”

Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer are reportedly worried about losing their jobs on RHONY after Dorinda Medley’s exit.

According to the gossip outlet, the two are worried that their personal storylines may have come to an end and therefore make it easy for Bravo and production company Shed Media to move on.

Luann looks like a baby at 55 [years old] compared to Ramona, but it is feared her storyline has come to a natural end and it is time to replace her with new blood too,” the source explained. “Luann was demoted from a full-time cast member to being a ‘friend’ on the show once before. After that humiliation, she’s not as scared as Ramona.”

“Outside the show, Luann has her cabaret shows and a life. If she gets fired again, she will be OK,” continued the source. “It is Ramona everyone is worried about. This show has become Ramona’s entire life, she would be lost without the show and they paycheck. Being on TV is her identity.”

While both Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer have been such important and crucial parts of RHONY’s history, it makes sense that they would be worried about their Bravo gigs.

Even before Dorinda’s departure, insiders had revealed that casting changes were in the works as the network looks to diversify the show and Luann herself even talked about those changes in a recent interview.

While it is understandable that the show needs to change and grow, what is a bit worrisome is seeing so many cast members leave in such a short time frame.

In addition to Dorinda’s exit, Tinsley Mortimer quit RHONY Season 12 midseason and Bethenny Frankel walked away on the first day of filming.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Thursdays on Bravo.
