Leah McSweeney Confirms She Had A “Challenging, Rocky Relationship” With Ramona Singer While Filming ‘RHONY’

Leah McSweeney is the newest cast member on Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City and to say she was thrown into the mix would be an understatement.

In a new interview to promote the latest episode of RHONY, Leah confirms that she and longtime Housewife Ramona Singer didn’t get along while filming the show, revealing that she would describe their relationship as “challenging” and “rocky”.

“Me and Ramona have had a challenging, rocky relationship for sure,” Leah dished to HollywoodLife TV Talk.

“As you see, I am an open book and I’m personable and respectful to her and to everybody, so when I feel like that’s not being appreciated or taken advantage of, I will freak out,” she explained.

On tonight’s all-new episode of RHONY, the outlet confirms that Ramona will direct her anger towards Leah after she returns to her house to find it trashed after leaving the Housewives to go to another party in the Hamptons.

Leah’s statements echo Ramona’s, as she too revealed in a recent interview to promote the new season of RHONY that she wasn’t getting along with the newbie.

“You know, we give every new girl a hard time,” she previously told E! News. “It’s a hazing experience.”

“With her I just took on the role as her surrogate mother and you’ll see during this season…You’ll see when you watch how I was her surrogate mother and because of that, I held [her] to a different standard and a higher level, which sometimes we butt heads about in a big way.”

Luann de Lesseps, on the other hand, seems to like Leah. “She’s a great addition to the cast,” she told the site. “It’s not easy shoes to step into. And I feel like she walked in and kind of fit right in. So excited about that because I really like her. She’s a mother and a business owner and, at the same time, has a vulnerability to her that I think fans will really relate to her.”

The Real Housewives of New York City airs tonight at 8/7c on Bravo and 9/8c on Slice.
