Kristin Cavallari has filmed scenes with Brody Jenner for The Hills: New Beginnings Season 2, according to a juicy new report.
Despite the appearance, however, insiders tell Page Six exclusively that although the former Hills star has no plans to return to the MTV hit in a full-time capacity.
“She’s only doing two episodes since Heidi [Montag] and Audrina [Patridge] did Very Cavallari,” an insider close to the production explained, referencing Kristin’s former E! reality series.
According to the insiders, Kristin had “fun” filming the scenes with her ex-boyfriend and apparently scored a big cheque from MTV in order to do so.
MTV orders Season 2
As previously reported on TVDeets.com, MTV has ordered The Hills: New Beginnings Season 2 and when it returns to the network later this year, expect an almost entirely new show.
One big change from Season 1 is that Mischa Barton has been let go and reportedly replaced by socialite Caroline D’Amore. In addition to Heidi, Audrina, Caroline, and Brody, Season 2 is expected to star Spencer Pratt, Jason Wahler, Justin Brescia, Frankie Delgado and Whitney Port. As of now, it is unconfirmed whether stars Brandon Thomas Lee and Stephanie Pratt are returning.
Production challenges
The second season hasn’t come without its fair share of hurdles, that’s for sure. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the series was once put on hiatus and the cast was even told they may be put in a house together like Jersey Shore in order to get production completed. Thankfully, Brody reportedly nixed that idea.

According to show insiders, Brody was not excited about filming Season 2 in a house or out of state and eventually, both production company Evolution Media and network MTV folded to his demands, agreeing to resume filming in Los Angeles.
All of that drama occurred behind the cameras, however, so it is unclear at this time what drama we can expect to see from the cast. Audrina Patridge’s love life will reportedly once again be a focus, however, as she is rumoured to be dating Rod Stewart’s son Sean Stewart and has even agreed to bring him on camera for Season 2.
The Hills: New Beginnings Season 2 is expected to premiere on MTV later this year.
