She alleges that the RHOC star wants her own spinoff show.
Kelly Dodd slammed her Real Housewives of Orange County co-star Braunwyn Windham-Burke in an appearance on Watch What Happens Live last night (December 2), telling host Andy Cohen that she believes Braunwyn’s alcoholism is “contrived” and “fake.”
When Andy asked the RHOC star if she regretted making light of Braunwyn’s struggle with sobriety, Kelly maintained that she did not—and it’s clear the two are not on good terms by the end of the season.
“No I don’t regret it because I think that her whole sobriety thing is contrived, and I think it’s fake,” she said, in the clip below. “So no, I don’t regret it.”
When pushed to explain, Kelly revealed that she basically thinks Braunwyn’s entire storyline is being faked for RHOC. “I don’t think that she had seven kids so that she could ‘not drink’,” she said. “I know her well enough that this was a pre-plotted thing that she wanted to do to get her own show.”

While the two haven’t had any major disagreements so far this season, it’s clear by Kelly’s comments that they are no longer friends which is disappointing, considering a fully fractured Housewives cast does nothing for the show itself.
Braunwyn comes out
Kelly’s comments come on the heels of Braunwyn making another personal revelation, sharing in a new interview with GLAAD that she is a lesbian.
Kelly Dodd revealed on Watch What Happens Live that she believes Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s struggle with sobriety is fake.
“I’m finally comfortable enough to say: I like women,” she told the organization in an interview just yesterday (December 2). “I’m gay. I’m a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I’m a lesbian. And it has taken me 42 years to say that, but I’m so proud of where I am right now and I’m so happy where I am. To be able to be comfortable in my own skin after so long is just so nice.”
Staying married
With the revelation, Braunwyn Windham-Burke becomes the first openly gay Housewife in the franchise. She is currently married to Sean Burke and said in the interview with GLAAD that she plans to stay with her husband.
“Honestly, we are in uncharted territory. I don’t have a role model for this,” she continued. “I don’t have anyone to go to for answers. So right now, we’re just doing our own way. You know, Sean and I are still married. I plan on staying married…We’re raising the kids together. He’s my best friend. He knows the girl I’m dating; her name is Kris. I mean, we go to parties together! She came over the other night, hung out with the family, had dinner with us. I mean, it’s only as weird as you make it.”
