Kate Chastain To Host ‘Below Deck’ Special On Bravo This September

She announced the news on Twitter.

Kate Chastain just can’t quit Below Deck. Despite announcing her departure from the Bravo series after 6 seasons, it seems that Kate, just like the rest of us, can’t get enough of the show and its ensuing drama as she’s set to host a new Below Deck special next month.

“I’m getting a lot of tweets asking about my opinion re: this season of #BelowDeckMed and I’m sorry…im just not comfortable discussing something I wasn’t there for on social media,” she posted on her official Twitter page.

She continued, “I prefer televised full episode commentary. Of the most dramatic episodes. Airing in September.”

The news of this special comes after Kate Chastain provided commentary on the first season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht just a few months ago.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Bravo and other networks began looking for ways to easily increase their amount of shows on the air during a production slow-down, and such commentary specials have since become staples for the reality TV networks, especially.

Kate teased the special news on Instagram, sharing a behind-the-scenes shot of her filming.

In addition to this new special set to air in September, Kate also hosts a SiriusXM radio show on Andy Cohen’s channel.

Seeing as Kate hasn’t really left the Below Deck franchise entirely, it will be interesting to see if she has anything else up her sleeve.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays on Bravo and Slice.
