Jules Wainstein’s Ex-Husband Awarded Protective Order Following Former ‘RHONY’ Star’s Arrest

UPDATED February 24 @ 6:40 pm ET: Page Six has updated their original article and provided additional details of Jules’ arrest after speaking to a source close to the incident.

  • The confrontation occurred during an exchange of custody. They have two young children and split custody following their divorce.
  • While the couple’s children were in the car, a source alleges that Jules licked Michael’s car window before damaging the back of the vehicle.
  • She is also accused of punching him in the face before police were called.

ORIGINAL STORY: Jules Wainstein’s ex-husband has been awarded a protective order following the former Real Housewives of New York City star’s arrest.

According to Page Six, Jules was arrested over the weekend in Florida for allegedly attacking her ex-husband, Michael. She appeared in court in Palm Beach County today and her arraignment is scheduled for March 16.

“This is a serious situation reflecting Ms. Wainstein’s increasingly reckless behavior that unfortunately took place in front of the kids,” Michael’s attorney, Morghan Richardson, told the gossip outlet. “The children were released to Michael’s custody yesterday and he is most concerned about protecting them.

“Michael is exploring all of his legal options at this time,” he stated.

As RHONY fans remember, Jules was a one-and-done Housewife who gained notoriety at the time for taking on Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill. She opened up about her struggle with an eating disorder on the show but after news broke of her impending divorce, she didn’t return for another season.

The new season of The Real Housewives of New York City ‐ without both Jules and Bethenny ‐ premieres this April on Bravo.
