Janet Roach is currently busy filming the fourth season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne but it should come as no surprise that The Real Housewives of Sydney are often brought up when speaking with her about the show. In a recent interview, Janet opened up about the differences between the RHOMelbourne cast and their RHOS counterpart and says that at the end of the day, her group has a little bit more respect for each other.

“I think we have a bit more respect for one another in Melbourne,” Janet told News Corp Australia, as reported by our friends at iRealHousewives. “And we have no-go zones – children, partners, things that are going to affect us in our outside lives,” she added, explaining that the Sydney-set series didn’t exactly highlight the women’s true personalities enough.

Janet may have a point. While we enjoyed watching the first season of RHOS, the women were getting into an all-out argument within the first episode. The drama continued after that with Victoria Rees, Krissy Marsh, Athena X Levendi, and Lisa Oldfield always finding their way in the middle of the chaos.

As iRealHousewives reports, Arena and Foxtel are considering whether to bring back The Real Housewives of Sydney for a second season but if they do, Athena X and Lisa are rumoured to be on the chopping block. A Foxtel executive said just a few weeks ago that he wasn’t interested in bringing them back for another go. Lisa herself has also basically confirmed that she’s been let go from the show.

We can see what Janet is saying but at the end of the day, it’s not like her group is all that much better than the Sydney ladies. Janet herself has been pretty cruel to both Lydia Schiavello and Gina Liano in the past, not to mention former Housewife Pettifleur Berenger, so we hope that she takes a good look at what she’s bringing to the table before commenting further.

The Real Housewives of Melbourne will return later this year. The Real Housewives of Sydney may return for a second season in 2018.
