Jamar Lee Says He Feels ‘No Bitterness’ After Being Removed From The ‘Big Brother Canada’ House
Jamar Lee says he has “no bitterness” after being removed from the Big Brother Canada house.
As previously reported, Global, the network that airs the reality hit and Insight Productions, the production company behind the show, made the shocking decision to remove Lee from the house after a confrontation with another houseguest.
“Insight Productions has made the difficult decision to remove a houseguest as a result of behaviour which occurred that was a breach of the Big Brother house rules,” read a statement released by the parties.

“We at Global and Insight Productions take the rules of this competition seriously and with respect to all houseguests past and present, the confines of the Big Brother house can be trying, sometimes leading to a clash of opinions and emotions in an isolated environment,” continued the statement. “We handle these situations with care and caution, protecting the well-being of our houseguests and ensuring the integrity of this long-standing production.”
At the time, Jamar seemed to be in agreement with the network and released his own statement.
“I take full responsibility for my actions – I lost my cool and that’s not OK. I’ve always stood behind what I believe in and I’m sorry if I let people down,” he said. “I want to thank everyone for their love and support, it really means a lot… this isn’t the last of me! You feel me?”
On a March 18 episode of the show, viewers were shown the confrontation between Kyle Rozendal and Lee that resulted in some of the other Houseguests feeling threatened.
Despite the network’s decision, some fans of Lee are rallying behind him and have created a GoFundMe with a goal of $10,000. At last count by Global News, the fundraiser had generated over $4,000.
“Jamar Lee is a young man who was wrongfully removed from the Big Brother Canada house and blasted everywhere with negative, damaging headlines,” reads the fundraising page. “Many fans believe he was wrongfully removed.
“Over years, we have witnessed people say and do much worse, but Jamar fell victim to a sad reality we see on this show, and in this world, way too often. He fell victim to the colour of his skin and didn’t receive the same leniency other non-POC players have had in the past.”
Jamar, for his part, took to Twitter recently to thank the show for the opportunity.
“S/O to @BigBrotherCA for having me on the show!” he posted. “Sucks I had to be removed off this season but nonetheless had a great time and a surreal experience! No bitterness over here!!”
Big Brother Canada airs on Global on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
