Jacqueline Laurita isn’t returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for the upcoming season 8 but according to a new interview, she doesn’t miss being apart of the drama — at all.

As we previously reportedJacqueline reportedly walked away from RHONJ after Bravo offered her a salary much lower than she expected. #WackoJacko later took to social media to explain her decision to leave the show, telling fans that Bravo also only offered her a part-time contract as opposed to being one of the official Housewives.

In a new interview with The Dirty, Jacqueline claims that she won’t miss RHONJ. “I have really passive feelings on not returning this season,” she explains. “It is what it is.”

One thing Jacqueline won’t miss is the drama. Last season, her friendship with Teresa Giudice fell apart — again — and she even got into it with longtime friends and new cast members Dolores Catania and Siggy Flicker. But according to Jacqueline, it’s the show that brings the drama, not her. “Life goes on as usual. I’m definitely less stressed,” she says. “I’m very happy in life right now.”

“I’m not forced to be around anyone I don’t feel is good for my soul,” she continues. “The situations I am in now are authentic. I am enjoying my life. I love my family and my friends. Of course I’ll miss that hefty paycheck though.”

“There were a million reasons to love that!” she jokes.

While we want to believe Jacqueline, there’s definitely more to the story here. After all, this isn’t the first time she left the show so her excuses now seem a little weak. At this point, she knows exactly what RHONJ is all about. Could it be Danielle Staub’s epic comeback that had Jacqueline running for the hills? Hmmm.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey will return later this year.
