ITVBe Releases A First Look At ‘The Real Housewives Of Jersey’

It will be the second U.K.-based entry into the franchise after 'The Real Housewives of Cheshire'.

ITVBe has released a first look at upcoming series The Real Housewives of Jersey.

Earlier today, the boutique cable network took to social media with a photo of the cast, confirming we are set to see 7 full-time Housewives when the series debuts on ITVBe and the ITVBe Hub in early 2021.

Meet the Housewives

After months of rumours, the full-time cast for The Real Housewives of Jersey is: Hedi Green, Jane Raynor, Margaret Thompson, Kate Taylor, Tessa Hartmann, Mia Ledbury and Ashley Cairney.

Like the other international versions of the show, the series will follow the glamorous lives of each of the ladies as they introduce viewers to life on Jersey, which is the largest of the Channel Islands and under British control.

Where is Jersey located?

As previously reported, ITVBe announced RHOJersey was in production back in August 2020 and confirmed at the time that the series will debut this year.

“Filming is reportedly getting underway in the next week and The Real Housewives of Jersey is due to arrive on ITVBe later this year,” ITV shared in a statement on their website.

The announcement may have been confusing to fans as Bravo already has a Real Housewives of New Jersey state-side. This new UK-based show, however, will film on location in the British Isles, completely setting it apart from its American counterpart.

Jersey Island is “an island of rediscovery where landscapes are just waiting to be explored,” according to their official tourism and travel agency, Discover Jersey

“Whether it’s the view from the battlements of a 12th century castle, a beach walk along Jersey’s unspoilt coastline or taking time to reflect while you watch the sun sink into the sea over St Ouen’s Bay, Jersey is there to be discovered.”

Casting rumours

The cast was rumoured to have some celebrity ties, as Superman actor Henry Cavill‘s sister-in-law was long suspected of being a part of the new series. However, Kiri Cavill is not pictured in the RHOJersey cast photo and it’s unclear at this time if she will be featured on the series at all.

According to a previous report from The Sun, producers are aiming to go after the vibe of Netflix’s Selling Sunset with this latest entry into the Real Housewives franchise.

The Real Housewives of Jersey is expected to premiere later this year on ITVBe.
