Hannah Ferrier Was Actually Fired From ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ — Report

Despite announcing in a new interview that she was leaving Below Deck Mediterranean voluntarily, a new report suggests that Hannah Ferrier was actually fired from the franchise after 5 seasons.

According to a new report from Page Six, Hannah’s leaving story doesn’t actually ring true as sources tell the gossip outlet that she was actually let go and that viewers will see it play out on this season.

In what has to be one of the most mysterious quotes ever, the source insists that Hannah’s behaviour is the reason why she was let go from the show. “Hannah’s crossed the line before,” explained the insider, adding that things “eventually went too far.”

It’s not clear what, exactly, the insider is referring to but Hannah was shown getting into it with Captain Sandy Yawn in a trailer for the new season of Below Deck Mediterranean.

As reported earlier, Hannah has announced that she is leaving the Below Deck franchise after 5 seasons, following in the footsteps of fellow franchise Chief Stew, Kate Chastain.

“I think I’m probably done,” revealed Hannah in a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight. “I learned when I first started yachting in my very early 20s, you know, I would see these women who were in their late 30s, 40s, sitting at a bar, getting wasted with 20-year-olds living in a tiny cabin, and I was like, I don’t want [that].”

She continued, “I want this to be a good, fun, enriching experience that allows me to travel a lot, but I don’t want to get to the stage where I’m locked into yachting and there’s nothing else in my life except that.”

“It’s a bit different if you’re captain, but as a chief stew? They just don’t seem like very happy people to me,” she added.

Even though Hannah’s departure will result in a big change on the show, we’ve seen time and time again that these shows will continue past the “face” and that seems to be the network’s plan with Mediterranean.

For example, promotional photos for the show simply show the logo and two unnamed models, where in the past we’ve gotten glamorous group shots. (Individual promotional shots were still released for this season of Below Deck Mediterranean, we should note.)

Viewers will have to watch the rest of this season to see Hannah’s resignation — or firing — play out.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays on Bravo and Slice.
