Garcelle Beauvais Talks ‘RHOBH’ Without Denise Richards: “I Wish There Was Something That Could Have Been Done”

She also confirmed her return to the Bravo hit in the same interview.

Garcelle Beauvais is both confirming her return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and expressing her sadness over Denise Richards’ departure in a new interview.

In a chat with Entertainment Tonight to promote her gig on The Real, Garcelle was asked about Denise’s exit from RHOBH and explained that she was “sad” about her friend leaving.

“I really wish she wouldn’t leave the franchise. I think she’s great. I think she brings a lot. I think the fans obviously love her and root for her, so I’m really sad about it,” she said, according to Us Weekly. “I wish there was something that could have been done. I’m going to miss her, obviously. I’m going to miss her on the platform, but we always talk.”

Confirming her own return to RHOBH, Garcelle added that she is a little “scared” following her co-stars’ reaction to Denise leaving. “I am returning to the Housewives, yes,” she said. “You know, you gotta be a little, a little brave. A little scared. A little ready. I mean, it’s all those things, and I say it with a laugh because I’m ready, but you’re never really ready.”

Garcelle Beauvais confirmed her return to RHOBH and talked Denise Richards’ exit in a new interview.

After Denise announced that she would not be returning, some of her former friends and co-stars including Lisa Rinna and Erika Girardi took to social media with what some fans referred to as rude and inappropriate memes. Garcelle, for her part, was equally turned off by their behaviour.

“I was really shocked by the memes, I thought that they were really mean,” she explained. “I mean it’s one thing to be on the show and have your feelings, but for her to say, ‘I’m leaving the franchise,’ at that point you gotta level up and you gotta say, ‘Good luck, Denise, we wish you were …’ I mean, just something kind.”

As previously reported, a representative for Denise confirmed that she wouldn’t be returning for Season 11 after a season that saw most of her co-stars turn on her over an alleged affair with Brandi Glanville.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will begin filming Season 11 in the coming weeks.
