Filming On ‘Southern Charm’ Season 7 Delayed Yet Again
Bravo’s Southern Charm appears to be in trouble.
According to a new report, production on Southern Charm season 7 has been delayed yet again by Bravo as the production company behind the show has struggled to find new cast members and to put together a cohesive story.
As TV Deets has previously reported, the show used to be one of Bravo’s biggest hits but after Thomas Ravenel was fired, the cast hasn’t been able to gel together and the drama has never been able to hit the heights it did when Thomas was a part of the cast. Love him or hate him, he had a massive impact on the show and has clearly left a void.
Because of this, the production company had been searching for new cast members to join the show but no one
with any decency in Charleston, South Carolina, where the Bravo hit is filmed, seems to be interested.
Just this week, however, things took a turn when it was revealed that Kathryn Dennis has reportedly reunited romantically with Thomas. While we joked that the relationship may actually save production on the new season, it looks like things might be going in the opposite direction.
“Cameras are going to start rolling the first week in February and go through May,” an insider told Radar Online about the updated filming schedule. (Southern Charm used to film in the summer and premiere in the late winter.)
“The producers have been working hard to find new cast members to film with the returning stars,” continued the production source. “Replacing the drama that came with Thomas has been difficult.”
Despite hearing that production has been delayed again until February, it should be noted that Southern Charm is still loved by the network. The cast attended the recent BravoCon event in New York City and Andy Cohen seems to be a fan of the show, so don’t count them out just yet.
