On six seasons of VH1’s Mob Wives, viewers grew to love Renee as she opened up about her battle with addiction, not to mention the horrendous relationship with her ex-husband, Junior. Sources are now speaking out exclusively to TV Deets, offering up more information about her current frame of mind.
“Renee was doing great when she appeared on [Celebrity Big Brother],” a source close to Renee explains. “Something went down when she got back and it’s been bad ever since.”
Renee is currently staying at the Summer House Detox Center in Miami and will be there for a minimum one-month stay, we can report exclusively. According to the center’s website, they specialize in alcohol, benzodiazepines, heroin, methadone, and suboxone detoxing. For those less familiar, benzodiazepines — or “benzos” for short — can include Xanax and Valium, for example.
Renee has been very open about her recovery and even revealed on the show that her issues were with pills. What is most shocking about this recent rehab stay is that as of a few weeks ago, Renee was scheduled to travel to the U.K. for media appearances related to her stay in the Big Brother house.
As of September 27, Renee was still expecting to travel to England:
It should be noted that all other subsequent tweets about her trip to the U.K. have been deleted. Renee herself has been posting on both Instagram and Facebook that she is in Miami and although we also expect those posts to be deleted, she isn’t exactly making it clear that she’s in the rehab facility, not just working with them.
But like Renee’s Instagram post implies, she is really hoping that this latest visit to rehab will be her last. “Renee’s friends and family are all concerned and we just want her to get help,” explains our source, adding that “It’s a big relief for everyone know that she’s down in Miami.”
Addiction is never easy for anyone involved and although we have called out Renee for her bad behaviour in the past, we really do wish her the best. All we want for Renee is to be happy, healthy, and the best mother she can be.
Our thoughts are with Renee and her family during this difficult time.
Mob Wives aired on VH1 and wrapped up for good this past year.
