Dorinda Medley Is Leaving ‘RHONY’ After 6 Seasons

Casting changes were expected for the new season.

Dorinda Medley is out. After 6 seasons, she has announced she is leaving Bravo’s RHONY.

Taking to Instagram just this morning (August 25), Dorinda confirmed that the upcoming reunion will be her last appearance on the reality show.

“What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice… But all things must come to an end,” she captioned a photo of her at the RHONY Season 12 reunion. “This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away.”

“I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way,” she continued. “Thank you to Bravo and NBC for the incredible ride and to my cast mates for constant stimulation and entertainment. I wish you all health, happiness and success.”

Dorinda Medley was originally introduced to Real Housewives of New York City viewers as a longtime friend and acquaintance of Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan.

This season, however, things have taken a turn for the worse between the trio, and it seems like their friendship is officially done. In recent episodes, for example, Ramona and her co-stars attempted to confront Dorinda over a perceived anger problem, causing the latter to storm out on the group multiple times.

Dorinda Medley (second from left) has announced that she is leaving RHONY after 6 seasons.

As previously reported, casting changes were expected for the new season of RHONY and reports have suggested that the network is looking to shake things up for Season 13.

Despite the drama, Dorinda has been such an important fixture on RHONY and the show just won’t be the same without her commentary. That said, so many other longtime Housewives have left in the past year that at this point, we’re almost numb to it.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Thursdays on Bravo and Slice.
