The Real Housewives of Atlanta still has a few more episodes to go in season 9 but the rumours about season 10 continue to run wild. According to a new report, Cynthia Bailey has been fired from RHOA and will not be returning for another go.

On this season of RHOA, much of Cynthia’s storyline has focused on her messy divorce from Peter Thomas. On Sunday night’s all-new episode, the two seemed to be making moves towards reconciling and it’s leaving a bad taste in some viewers’ mouths, with some thinking that Cynthia has been faking the drama for the show.

All of this may have come back to bite her in the ass, as Media Take Out reports that Bravo has already let her go ahead of the season 9 reunion. “Usually we wait until after the reunion show to fire the ladies, but [the producers] want to sign new housewives (aka NeNe) soon – so they’re making budget moves early,” a source tells the gossip website.

As previously reported, Bravo is considering bringing Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak back to the show full-time and the cast budget is of a big concern.

While we don’t dislike Cynthia, she doesn’t really bring much to the show anymore so it wouldn’t be like she would be all that missed. After all, the show does need to do something to switch things up but it will take a lot more than getting rid of Cynthia to accomplish that.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays on Bravo and Slice.
