Charlie Sheen Says He Had Nothing To Do With Denise Richards Quitting ‘RHOBH’

Sheen denies recent rumours he had something to do with her exit from the Bravo hit.

Denise Richards has decided to leave RHOBH after just two seasons and while some have suggested her ex-husband Charlie Sheen may have something to do with it, he recently denied any connection to her decision.

“She does what she wants in these matters,” his publicist Jeffrey Ballard told Page Six exclusively.

He added, “And I applaud her decision of ‘one and done,'” not realizing that Denise Richards had actually starred on two seasons of the Bravo hit.

Insiders say Denise Richards’ famous ex-husband Charlie Sheen had nothing to do with her decision to quit RHOBH.

As previously reported, Denise made the decision to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills just last week, with her representative confirming that she had ended negotiations with Bravo.

“People think that she didn’t want to come back and that it’s because she got ‘mean-girled’ [by other cast members],” an insider told Page Six. “The truth is she did want to come back. But [Bravo] didn’t want to pay her what she asked for. It was way out of her pay grade.”

They continued, “Bravo called her last week to ask her if she wanted to return, and she took a couple of days to think about it.” However, the report states that by Wednesday, Denise was ready to leave RHOBH and confirmed as such in a statement to Variety.

Andy Cohen speaks out

Earlier this week, Andy Cohen opened up about Denise’s decision to leave the show and confirmed that she and Bravo “couldn’t reach an agreement on the deal,” adding that the drama with Brandi Glanville and the other women definitely played a role.

“I’m just upset we couldn’t reach an agreement for next season,” he said when asked to first compliment Denise in a new interview with PEOPLE. “I’m kind of living in that sadness.”

“We were negotiating a deal with her and we couldn’t reach an agreement on the deal,” he continued. “She’s answering her truth. Listen, she has a family and kids. So, I mean, whatever happened or didn’t happen, I would imagine that it’s something that she didn’t really care to discuss on a television show.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wraps next Wednesday with a special Secrets Revealed episode on Bravo.
