CeCe Gutierrez and Tami Roman will not be returning.

Basketball Wives is returning to VH1 after over a year off of the air, with Season 9 set to premiere on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

Shaunie O’Neal, Malaysia Pargo, Evelyn Lozada, Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams, Kristen Scott, Ogom “OG” Chijindu and Feby Torres are all returning for Season 9, and viewers will be introduced to newcomers Liza Morales and Nia and Noria Dorsey, according to a report from Variety.

Like many of the other reality TV shows on the air right now, the new season of Basketball Wives will follow the women as they navigate the COVID-19 pandemic while working to repair fractured friendships after a very dramatic Season 8. (We’re looking at you, Evelyn.)

VH1

Basketball Wives is returning to VH1 with Season 9 this February but Season 8 cast members CeCe Gutierrez (pictured) and Tami Roman are out.

In a somewhat surprising move, the new season will also follow Shaunie O’Neal as she relocates to Houston, Texas, while the rest of the women are located primarily in Los Angeles, California.

Season 9 is sure to be big for the franchise, as viewers will remember that Season 8 caused quite the stir on social media while logging record ratings at the same time.

Basketball Wives is executive produced by Truly Original, Shed Media and VH1 with Shaunie serving as an Executive Producer.
