Andy Cohen Wants To Bring Back ‘The Real Housewives Of Miami’ For Season 4 — On Peacock

It may be the show's only chance at a revival.

Andy Cohen has revealed that he wants to bring back The Real Housewives of Miami for Season 4 only this time instead of airing on Bravo, the show would debut on NBC’s new streaming service Peacock.

The Real Housewives executive producer made the comments on Danny Pellegrino’s Everything Iconic podcast just yesterday (November 5), according to a write up from The Daily Mail.

“I have really been trying to get Peacock to pick up Miami,” he said. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this. I don’t know where we are with that. I have to say the fans of Miami are still very vocal, and so I’ve been an advocate for Peacock bringing back Miami.”

According to the former Bravo boss, Elsa Patton, mother to Housewife Marysol Patton, was such a big part of RHOM that when she didn’t participate in Season 3 due to declining health, the show just wasn’t the same.

Andy Cohen has revealed that he has pitched The Real Housewives of Miami Season 4 to Peacock, NBC’s new streaming service.

“I think Miami as it was on Bravo really suffered from Mama Elsa not being around in season 3,” he told Pellegrino. “She was very sick. I think she was a more important part of that show than people realized. The problem with the third season was that the ratings were declining as it went on and they went down for the reunion, which is usually the opposite of what happens. I think that went into the decision to not pick it up.”

While fans love to surmise about a possible RHOM return, it should be noted that Andy is right—the show was suffering in the ratings towards the end, and former cast member Lea Black has since gone on to say that the cast’s negativity was the city’s ultimate demise.

Reviving RHOM wouldn’t make sense in the ratings for Bravo at this point, so we can see why Andy would turn his attention to Peacock. And rebooting the franchise—or launching their own new city—would be a huge move, sure to put the new streaming service on the map.

The Real Housewives of Miami aired on Bravo from 2011-2013.
