Andy Cohen Confirms Filming On ‘RHOC’ And ‘RHONJ’ Has Been Suspended Over Coronavirus Concerns
Andy Cohen confirmed in a new interview today that filming on the new seasons of RHOC and RHONJ has been put on hold over coronavirus concerns.
Bravo has announced that Watch What Happens Live will be resuming production after a brief hiatus but instead of filming out of the Clubhouse, production will take place from Andy’s New York City apartment.
Nicknamed Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen @ Home, the first new episode back will feature Nene Leakes, Jerry O’Connell, and Ramona Singer, according to a network press release.
In an interview promoting the show’s return, Andy revealed that filming on both The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15 and The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 11 has been suspended.
According to Variety, fans can feel relieved that The Real Housewives of New York City, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and The Real Housewives of Potomac are all unaffected by the coronavirus outbreak.
Interestingly, he did not mention The Real Housewives of Dallas, but that could be because the network hasn’t actually confirmed that a season 5 is happening despite production on that show allegedly to have also already started.
As the U.S. and the rest of the world grapple with the COVID-19 outbreak, television networks and production companies alike have been forced to change strategies as government at all levels take action to flatten the curve.
The network noted that production staff on WWHL continue to work from home, despite this updated format.
